Label art!

It’s very difficult to describe making label art for a Short’s Brew—it’s a balancing act between creating ephemera and conveying useful information to a potential consumer. There’s a delicate line to toe that involves making eye-catching art that stands out on a shelf while keeping it true to your brand. Sometimes it feels like lassoing an asteroid—it’s wild and unpredictable and some of the most fun I have at my job.

Also in here is samples of the Erraticus Series—a wild fermented cider series. The focus on this was to create a framework for the labels that was identifiable and tied into our main line of ciders that also had a space to highlight the uniqueness of each batch and showcase their ingredients.

Social Media

It’s a newer feather in my cap, but creating social media content for Short’s has been a fun opportunity to flex both my design and photography skills. Beginning my tenure 3 weeks before COVID lockdown in 2020 really put my feet to the fire and made making creative content mostly in my backyard a very interesting but fulfilling design challenge.

Literally Everything Else

Short’s runs a pretty slim team with just two designers—so we have our fingers in a lot of pies creatively speaking. We create everything from internal sales designs for B2B, to event branding, to managing creative for all of our sister brands—Starcut Ciders, Beaches Hard Seltzer, and Arcadia Brewing Company.

So this is a repository for just a fraction of the work I do, if you’re curious to learn more about it, then shoot me an email!
