Ope ya found me!

Honestly though, I don’t like to repeat the internal Short’s adage of “Love where you live and love what you do.” but it does ring pretty true. I deeply enjoy being in Northern Michigan and the closeness it gives me to nature. I can be in the middle of nowhere within 20 minutes of leaving my house—that’s insane in the best way.

I find myself getting recharged the most when I give equal measure of my attention to both my work and my hobbies. For a long time those have been cooking (and especially baking), backpacking, and just going for aimless walks—literally anywhere. I’ll just accidentally go like 7 miles without realizing and then have to go home.

What else? Oh! I like board games, and my pets, and I will talk your ear off with Lord of the Rings trivia so don’t step to me unless you’re ready to throw down about the Silmarillion.
